Some of the people with ties to Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin who passed away recently

John Robert Cerrato, a resident of Pleasanton, was born in Redwood City. He earned a business marketing degree from San Jose State and worked in the semiconductor industry for 32 years, rising to senior corporate vice president of global sales for Samsung in San Jose. Cerrato passed away on July 28 at the age of 50.

Earl A. Thompson, a resident of Livermore, was a native of Michigan who earned a degree from Michigan State University and served in the U. S. Navy. Thompson worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for 30 years. He was an avid model airplane fan and was the founder member of the Livermore Flying Electrons. He passed away on Aug. 3 at the age of 79.

Loretta Voelker, a resident of Livermore, was a native of Baltimore who moved to Livermore in 1970. She was a dedicated wife, homemaker and mother of three sons. Voelker passed away on July 25 at the age of 68.
