Public's Help Sought To Solve 39-Year-Old Tri-Valley Cold Case

PLEASANTON, CA — It has been nearly 40 years since Pleasanton 20-year-old, Dana Ramm, was found dead on the side of the road in Sunol.

On Monday, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office sought the public's help to solve the cold case, exactly 39 years to the day she was found on Dec. 29, 1986.

"Our victims are never forgotten," the office said.

Ramm was last seen on the night of Dec. 28, 1986 at a Chevron station on the corner of Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton. She was reportedly with acquaintances in a brown Oldsmobile that had run out of gas. While the pair went into the station, Ramm waited in the car. When they returned, she was gone.

Her body was found on the side of Andrade Road in Sunol.

The office is asking anyone who may have information to contact the sheriff's Cold Case Homicide Unit directly at 510-667-3661. Witnesses can also provide information by calling the Anonymous Tip Line at 510-667-3622.
