Zone 7 Water Agency To Host Meetings To Update Water Rates
The Zone 7 Water Agency will host the first of several public meetings to re-evaluate Tri-Valley water rates.
PLEASANTON, CA — Tri-Valley residents will have several opportunities to weigh in as the Zone 7 Water Agency reviews new wholesale water rates for the next four years.
On Wednesday at 6 p.m., the agency’s board of directors will convene for the first of several meetings scheduled to last through 2026 to re-evaluate the increasing water needs of the Tri-Valley. The agency will re-evaluate a 2019 study, which found that “significant investments” are required to update the water supply, and could cost an $10 to $15 per monthly water bill, Zone 7 Treasurer and Assistant General Manager of Finance Osborn Solitei told Pleasanton Weekly.
The Aug. 31 meeting will be a water supply evaluation workshop. Upcoming Wednesday meetings will cover the following topics:
