• Porterville to unveil new monument honoring American history (kmph.com) — Porterville is moving ahead with a new monument at Veterans Park that will anchor the city’s 2026 centennial celebrations and honor America’s 250th birthday. The 16-foot granite Washington Monument replica, bronze history plaques, and DAR display will be funded through a community fundraising partnership with the Porterville Museum.
