1. 19-year-old suspected of attempted homicide in Porterville (yourcentralvalley.com) — Porterville police arrested a 19-year-old after an argument reportedly escalated into gunfire on West Henderson Avenue near Main Street, though the two people involved were not physically hurt. Detectives say they identified the suspect, searched his home, and collected additional evidence before booking him into the Tulare County South County Detention Facility on multiple firearm-related charges with bail set at $500,000.

Life Without Parole for Porterville Killer (kmjnow.com) — Porterville residents are learning that a man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for a 2022 shooting that began as a shots-fired call handled by Porterville Police. Investigators used GPS, cell phone data, and ballistics to link him and an accomplice to the killing, with the accomplice already serving a lengthy prison term.
