Finalists Take the Stage, and a Scuffle at the Fair
A carnival visitor was removed from the fair in handcuffs by security Saturday. The show went on, with Ramona Idol finalists taking the stage.
One visitor to didn't get to stay to hear the Ramona Idol finals on Saturday.
Instead, he was apprehended by private security officers, pinned to the ground, handcuffed and taken out to be delivered to the Sheriff's Department.
There was no immediate information available regarding any arrest or charges Saturday night. The security officers declined to comment. Eyewitness accounts were inconsistent.

"We're trying to keep it family-minded," Craig Jung, executive director of told Patch. "When they see problems arising, they just remove them from the fair."

A crowd flowed into Ramona Outdoor Community Center on Saturday night to see the Ramona Idol finals.
Jung estimated that Thursday's attendance was 2,500 and Friday's was 3,000 people.
The country fair will continue Sunday from noon until 11 p.m. at 421 Aqua Lane, Ramona.
