Ramona Unified Cross Country Invitational
Young runners from local elementary schools competed in a one-mile run at Dos Picos County Park.

Ready, set, go! A cool day on Wednesday May 18 allowed for a comfortable 1.06 mile run at for 167 local third- to sixth-graders.
Almost all schools ended the day with runners in the tops spots in the Ramona Unified Cross Country Invitational. took home the most honors.
The fastest girl was Natalie White of Ramona Lutheran (7.16 minutes) and the fastest boy, for the second year, was Brandan Ruland of (6.28 minutes). All times are available on the school district website.

Amy Smith, mother of two runners, summed up the day: "This race was awesome. The kids had a blast."
Another mother, Arden Peters, said, "My son had so much fun. He got to see kids he knows from other schools who he hadn't seen in a long time."
