Top Stories of 2012 in Ramona

2012 was an interesting year for our small town.

Ramona may be just a dot on the San Diego County map, but 2012 brought some big stories to our small town. A proposed evacuation route caused controversy as the fifth anniversary of the 2007 Witch Creek Fires were upon us and a lightning fire in August threatened the backcountry and a brushfire hit Julian.

We got behind the curtain of local businesses and saw Kreep win a seat on the Superior Court. Unfortunately, 2012 also brought deadly car crashes and fatal hikes.
