Heat Advisory In Effect Through Saturday In Rancho Bernardo, 4S Ranch

Forecasters advised people to drink fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors.

RANCHO BERNARDO-4S RANCH, CA — A heat advisory remains in effect in Rancho Bernardo and 4S Ranch.

The advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Saturday for the valleys of San Diego County. High temperatures are expected between 96 and 104 in the eastern valleys, according to the National Weather Service.

Hot weather can increase the potential for heat-related illnesses, particularly for people working or spending time outside.

Forecasters advised people to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors. Weather officials also reminded residents that young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles.

"Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke," the NWS advised. "Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 911."
