Ladera Ranch Woman Embezzled $56K From OC Company

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A 43-year-old South Orange County woman pleaded guilty Monday to embezzling roughly $56,000 from a local property management company and was placed on two years of formal probation, court records show.

Ladera Ranch resident Lauren Rodgers Goldman pleaded guilty to five counts of grand theft and a count of making false entries in records or returns, all felonies.

The money was embezzled from Orange County-based company Mooschekian Management, sheriff's investigators said in court documents.

According to the documents, Goldman wrote 70 fraudulent checks from five separate accounts to embezzle $56,712.13 from Nov. 28, 2017, through March 19, 2020.
