Man Stabs Rival Over A Woman in RSM
Late-night altercation between two men, both 20, ends with one in jail and a Rancho Santa Margarita man in the hospital.

Rancho Santa Margarita may be one of America's safest cities, but that had little bearing on the welfare of a Rancho Santa Margarita man late Thursday night.
A fight between two 20-year-old men over a woman ended with one stabbing and wounding the other, a sheriff's lieutenant said Friday.

The fight happened around 11:20 p.m. Thursday in front of the victim's house in Rancho Santa Margarita in the 10 block of Montana Del Lago Drive, said Orange County sheriff's Lt. Colin Murphy.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury, while his rival, whose name was not released, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Murphy said.
