LADERA RANCH, CA — Ralph J. Williams, 90, of Ladera Ranch, CA, passed away quietly at home surrounded by his family on July 21st.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jacqueline Williams, his children John S. Williams of Webster, MA, Lael A. Williams of Worcester, MA; Lisa L. Williams of Alhambra, CA and Gary P. Williams of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, granddaughter Hunter Lynn Scheurenbrand also of Alhambra, CA and several grandchildren in Massachusetts.

Williams is predeceased by his grandson Tyler P. Scheurenbrand and granddaughter Melissa Ann Wiliams. He grew up in a close-knit family with 5 brothers and 4 sisters in Worcester, MA. Ralph served in the US Army from 1955 To 1957 in South Korea as a Specialist 3rd Class.

Ralph and Jacqueline married in 1965 and raised their family in Millbury, MA. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic for 46 years. They retired to Southern California in 2001. For 17 years, during his retirement, Ralph worked as a student supervisor at Chaparral Elementary School in Ladera Ranch, CA.

He was affectionately known as “Mr. Ralph” by the kids, parents and teachers.

Funeral services will be held at St. Kilian’s Church in Mission Viejo on Friday, August 6th at 10 a.m. (Masks are required.)

In place of flowers, the family requests donations in Ralph’s memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (support.woundedwarriorproject.org).
