Readers' Choice: Vote for Favorite Local Celebrity

For every boldfaced name you read in the paper, there's a town behind him or her, cheering on their successes.

Rancho Santa Margarita is no different.

From Olympic competitors to big-name athletes, musicians or television personalities, which local celebrity comes to your mind when you think of Rancho Santa Margarita?

This week, high school golfer Beau Hossler—fresh from giving the U.S. Open a run for its money—is on everyone's lips. But what about Carson Palmer, Mark Sanchez or Teemu Selanne? Maybe there's a particularly real housewife from Orange County who is your favorite? Or perhaps a budding actress such as Jenn Proske, or a favorite author such as Martin Dugard?

All you need to do to nominate your favorite local celebrity is to mention him or her in the comments below and tell us why; be sure to make your case for why he or she should be Rancho's favorite when the polls open. Remember, you're trying try sway the audience, so nobody's gonna penalize you for laying it on kinda thick.
