Banning Fire Map: See Wolf Fire Perimeter, Evacuation Warning Areas

The Wolf Fire exploded to more than 2,400 acres, threatening homes south of the Redlands (10) Freeway.

BANNING, CA — The Wolf Fire held to just under 2,400 acres as of Friday, smoke calming and residents at last allowed to return to their homes.

As of 3:30 p.m., the blaze was 65 percent contained, 2,387 acres had burned. Three firefighters have been injured as a result of the firefight that has raged since Sunday, Cal Fire reports.

All mandatory evacuation orders were reduced to warnings Friday afternoon, and many evacuation warnings for the Wolf Fire were outright removed Friday as a result of the 2,387-acre Wolf Fire, burning south of Banning.
