Most Redlands City Hall administrative offices will be closed
beginning Wednesday, Dec. 22, reopening Monday, Jan. 3. Essential
City services, including public safety, Code Enforcement, water
and wastewater utility services and solid waste collection will
be in full operation. Police and Fire operations will be
available as usual.

The City Manager, Assistant City Manager, department directors,
City Attorney, Public Information Officer and other executive
staff will continue to monitor operations, provide appropriate
staff direction and respond to emails and messages as necessary.

City offices, including City Hall, will close at the end of
business Tuesday, Dec. 21, and reopen Monday, Jan. 3. The
Redlands Community Center, Redlands Community Senior Center,
Joslyn Senior Center and Senior Transportation program will also
be closed during that time.

The A.K. Smiley Public Library will be closed Dec. 24-26 and will
close at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, and remain closed all day
Saturday, Jan. 1.

The Redlands Animal Shelter, Hillside Memorial Park cemetery,
Redlands Airport, City parks and water and wastewater treatment
facilities will remain open and in operation.

The Fire Department’s Community Risk Reduction Division will be
available for emergency inspections Dec. 21-24 and Dec. 28-30.
Please call Fire Marshal Chris Jensen at (909) 714-2030 to
arrange for an inspection.

For after-hours emergency water and/or wastewater service, please
contact the Redlands Police Department at (909) 798-7681. To
report missed solid waste collection service or for a solid waste
related question, please call (909) 798-7529.  Messages will
be retrieved daily by 10 a.m.

For any matters pertaining to airfield lighting, signage, or
conditions or issues with the airport vehicle gates, please
contact the Facilities and Community Services Department at (909)
798-7655 or (909) 798-7573.

There will be no change to the solid waste (trash) collection
schedule during the holidays.

Utility bills can be paid using one of the following payment
methods:

  • Deposit payments in the night drop box located between
    Customer Service, suite 15A and the Revenue Office, suite 15B;
  • Mail payments to PO Box 6903, Redlands CA 92375;
  • Make an online payment through your bank (please allow
    adequate time for payment to arrive by the due date); or
  • Make an online payment through InvoiceCloud by calling
    1-855-718-1514 or visit www.redlandscustomerservice.org and click
    on “Pay Online as Guest.” A $3.95 convenience fee is charged by
    the vendor.
  • Building inspections will be available on Dec. 20-22 and 28-30.
    To schedule an inspection, please call (909) 798-7536, ext. 1, or
    visit https://www.cityofredlands.org/webform/request-building-inspection
    prior to 4 p.m. the business day before the inspection is needed
    and leave an inspection request. Leave a message with your name,
    address, permit number, type of inspection needed along with a
    phone number where you can be reached.

    Inspections for encroachment permits issued by the Municipal
    Utilities and Engineering Department will be available weekdays
    with the exception of Friday, Dec. 24.  To schedule an
    inspection, please call (909) 798-7597, Ext. 2, the day before
    the inspection is needed and leave your inspection
    request. Leave a message with your name, address or
    location, permit number, type of inspection needed along with a
    phone number where you can be reached. Construction inspections
    will also be available Dec. 27-30.

    All City facilities and operations other than Police, Fire and
    emergency utility services will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 and Jan.
    1.
