As part of our continuing efforts to increase accessibility to
the public and best serve the needs of a diverse community, the
Redlands Police Department has added a virtual crime reporting
option, using Zoom. The virtual crime reporting option will
supplement the department’s current online alternative as well as
traditional in-person and telephone reporting.

Criteria for reporting crime through Zoom are the same as the
online reporting system currently available on the department
website: the reported crime is not an emergency; the incident
occurred within Redlands City limits; there are no known
suspects; and the crime did not occur on a State freeway.

Community members interested in reporting a crime via Zoom may
visit the department’s web page at https://www.cityofredlands.org/report-crime
and scroll down to “Schedule a Zoom Meeting to Report a Crime.”
Zoom meetings are currently available between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Once a request is submitted, the reporting party will receive an
email that includes a link for the Zoom meeting. During the Zoom
meeting, an officer will take the information from the reporting
party and, if warranted, take a crime report and provide a case
number along with instructions how to obtain a copy of the
report.

For emergencies or crimes in progress, residents should call 911.
Non-emergency crimes may be reported at the department’s business
line at (909) 798-7681, ext. 1, or online using the Redlands
Police Department’s CopLogic reporting system at www.cityofredlands.org/report-crime.
Suspicious activity and tips can be reported using the City of
Redlands 311 mobile app available for Android, iPhones, and
iPads.
