A man was arrested Friday in Loma Linda on suspicion of using fraudulently someone else's credit card and four felony warrants, according to the Sheriff's Department.
Larry Jones, 39, also known as Larry Jones Jr., allegedly used a woman's credit card on Thursday June 20 when he paid for more than $900 worth of stereo equipment at Sound Plus, 24630 Redlands Blvd., Loma Linda., Central Station personnel said.
Jones had the equipment installed in his vehicle the same day, and he came back Sound Plus the next day, Friday June 21, to get the equipment upgraded, deputies said.
"On Friday, June 21, 2013 the victim noticed a charge on her bank account for over nine hundred dollars made on June 20, 2013 at Sounds Plus," deputies said. "The victim's husband contacted Sounds Plus in Loma Linda who recognized the amount purchased as the sale made to Larry Jones the day before."
Jones was still at Sounds Plus having equipment installed in his vehicle, and the victim's husband called the Sheriff’s Department.
"When deputies arrived to make contact with Jones, he fled the scene on foot and ran into oncoming traffic on Redlands Boulevard," deputies said. "During a search, Jones was located in the wash south of the Hospitality Carwash, hiding in a bush."
According to the Sheriff's Department, a records check showed Jones had four active felony warrants:
- A no bail federal warrant for a probation violation.
- A no bail felony warrant in Platt County for a fraudulent credit device.
- A felony warrant in San Bernardino County for burglary with a bail amount of $150,000.
- A felony warrant in Mono County for PC 484 fraudulent use of a credit card with a bail amount of $100,000.
