911 Lines Down In Redondo Beach

REDONDO BEACH, CA — The Redondo Beach Police Department reported Sunday that 911 lines were down in the city due to a telecommunications outage affecting the South Bay region.

Police said the outage began around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, and urged residents to call 310-379-5411 in the event of an emergency. That number will connect callers to both the police and fire departments.

Technicians are working to restore service, according to the department, which said it will provide updates when the issue is resolved.
