Athletes At Heart Of South Bay Football Scandal Help Set Record At New School: Report
The students helped lead their new school to a historic win, according to a report by SFGate.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Four ex-Bishop Montgomery football players involved in a league investigation over rule violations transferred to a new school in Arizona, according to a report by SFGate.
The students were at the heart of the football scandal that rocked Bishop Montgomery High School's season, according to the report.
The California Interscholastic Federation began investigating the high school over accusations that it had violated rules governing transfer players. Meanwhile, a former team booster also came forward and admitted to paying parents to have their kids play for the school.

The fallout of that investigation led to Bishop Montgomery's coach being fired, the football team forfeiting the rest of its season and the school's president resigning.
Now, four of the players involved in that investigation have left to play for Mesa High School in Arizona, where they quickly made an impact by leading the football team to its 700th win, according to the report.
