Bicycle, Car Collide on 190th/Anita

Police temporarily close 190th/Anita Street after a bicycle collides with a car making a U-turn.

A collision Thursday morning between a bicyclist and a car could have been much worse, according to spokesman Sgt. Phil Keenan.

A Prius was making a U-turn across 190th/Anita Street when a bicyclist riding down the hill T-boned it, denting the car's door and breaking the driver's window, Keenan said.

The 17-year-old bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital, Keenan said. The driver suffered a superficial cut from the broken glass.
