The man, who police said was a registered sex offender, was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure, police said.

Third time's the charm

Police officers responded to the Chase Bank under construction at 246 S. Pacific Coast Hwy. three times on Nov. 9 after getting complaints of after-hours construction noise, according to police.

The first time, officers told workers that they were violating the city's construction noise ordinance.

The second time, workers told officers that they were putting away the construction tools.

The third time, the officers caught workers continuing with the construction, police said. When asked for an explanation, the foreman told officers that the workers had to finish the job "no matter what"—even if they worked after-hours.

Officers cited the foreman on suspicion of violating the city's ordinance on allowed construction hours.

Beer run

A woman and her husband called the police department after she heard noises in her home in the 300 block of North Francisca Avenue on Nov. 11, authorities said.

Officers arrived and discovered that the couple left the garage door to the house open when they went to bed, police said. A door leading into the house from the garage was also unlocked. Nothing appeared to be missing, so officers left.

Several hours later, the couple discovered that money was missing from a wallet, restaurant gift cards were missing, and several cans of beer had disappeared from the garage.
