City Offices Relocate to Artesia Blvd.

Recreation and Community Services, the Housing Authority and Senior and Family Services are moving to North Redondo.

The , Redondo Beach Housing Authority and the Senior and Family Services Administrative Office are moving from their Knob Hill Avenue location to a new spot next door to the Redondo Beach in June, according to a news release posted on the city's website.

The moves to 1922 Artesia Blvd. will create what the city called a "mini Civic Center" in North Redondo, complete with a police substation.

The Recreation and Community Services Department conducted its last day of regular business at the 320 Knob Hill Ave. location on Thursday. From Monday until June 30, the department will allow walk-in registration at the at 715 Julia Street.

Recreation staff will be available by phone at 310-318-0610, ext. 3460. The department will resume its normal business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 1922 Artesia Blvd. on July 5.

The Housing Authority's last day at the Knob Hill Avenue was Monday. From Tuesday through next Monday, staff can be reached at 310-318-0635 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on workdays.

The Housing Authority staff will resume normal 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. business hours at its new location on June 28.

The Senior and Family Services Administrative Office also conducted its last day of business at the Knob Hill Avenue property on Thursday. Staff will be available from Monday through June 30 from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. on workdays at 310-374-9168.

The office will resume normal business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Redondo Beach plans to hold an open house on July 19 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the new location to allow residents a chance to see the new office, the city said.

The city property after it became clear that the Redondo Beach Unified School District, which owns the property, saw the location increase in value.
