City to Host Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Event

The city of Redondo Beach and Athens Services will host a household hazardous waste disposal event Saturday at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center.

All Redondo Beach residents are invited to bring their household hazardous waste items, such as products labeled toxic, poison, corrosive, flammable or combustible; household batteries; fluorescent  light bulbs; syringes; and mercury thermostats.

Explosives, ammunition and radioactive materials; household trash; tires; and bulky items will not be accepted.

Proof of residency is required, and business waste will not be accepted.

The event starts at 8 a.m. and will finish at 2 p.m.
