City Warns of Loud Construction Noises

Redondo Beach will begin the heavy construction phase of the new Harbor Patrol facility on Monday.

The city issued an advance warning to people who live or do business around Redondo Beach Marina and the rest of King Harbor about loud construction noises that will emanate from Mole B starting Monday.

Redondo Beach will start the heavy construction phase for the new Harbor Patrol/Fire Station facilities on Mole B in King Harbor on Monday, according to a notice on the city's website. Part of this construction involves installing and setting large cement footings for the buildings' foundation.

The "extremely loud" noise will come from a large crane driving huge cement columns into the ground, according to the city. It's expected to last about two weeks.
