Cook-Off Attendees Chow Down on Chowder for a Cause
Quality Seafood hosts third annual Clam Chowder Cook-Off to benefit Cancer Support Community - Redondo Beach.
Clam chowder enthusiasts descended in droves on for its third annual to sample chowder and support Cancer Support Community - Redondo Beach on Saturday afternoon.
Attendees had the opportunity to purchase tasting kits for $7 each, which gave them five 2-ounce taste tickets and one people's choice voting ticket.
Alpine Village and Quality Seafood tied for the best clam chowder in the professional division, while Roy Miyarshiro's chowder took home both the Best Clam Chowder and People's Choice awards in the individual division for the second consecutive year.
Fat Face Fenner's Fish House in Hermosa took home the professional division's People's Choice Award.

Other participating restaurants included , and Fat Face Fenner's Fish Shack. The cook-off was sponsored by Quality Seafood, the King Harbor Association and the Redondo Beach Pier Association.
