Construction to Close Beach Bikeway

The Marvin Braude Bikeway will be closed intermittently for rehabilitation from Wednesday until Nov. 18.

The Marvin Braude Bikeway along the beach will be closed intermittently in Redondo Beach during November as part of a rehabilitation effort, according to a news release posted on the city's website.

During the reconstruction and slurry sealing segments of the work, the city will close the boardwalk between Coral Way and Avenue C from Wednesday until Nov. 10. The portion from Avenue C to the city limit will be closed from Nov. 14 until Nov. 18.

The project, which also includes stretches of the bike trail in Manhattan Beach, will cost about $400,000. It will be paid for by the Los Angeles County Fourth Supervisorial District Capital Improvement Fund.
