Earthquake Shakes SoCal Coast

A magnitude-3.2 earthquake struck the coast of Malibu on Thursday night, shaking the Los Angeles County coast, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor hit at about 10:57 p.m. about one mile southeast of Point Dume and 8 miles below the earth's surface.

No damage or injuries were reported, according to the watch commander at the sheriff's Malibu/Lost Hills Station and a dispatcher at the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

As of midnight, the USGS Community Internet Intensity Map had received 220 responses from residents in Newbury Park down to San Pedro. Most reported feeling weak shaking.
