Expect Delays at PCH, PV Boulevard

Caltrans will be performing curb work at the intersection of Palos Verdes Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway in Riviera Village through March 29.

Caltrans will be performing work at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Palos Verdes Boulevard in Riviera Village from Thursday through March 29, and lane closures are expected, according to the Caltrans website.

"They're going to be doing apparently some curb work there … They've got to turn off all the signals," City Manager Bill Workman told the Redondo Beach City Council on Tuesday. "We've been very assertive with Caltrans, saying, 'You'd better have somebody out there because putting some little stop sign out there ain't gonna work.'"

The work is scheduled to start at 9:01 a.m. and end at 2:59 p.m. on all days to avoid the morning and evening rush hours. The No. 2 lane—the one closest to the curb—will be closed on Pacific Coast Highway while work is completed.
