Free Slurpees Today for 7-Eleven Day

7-Eleven Day is Thursday, July 11, and that means one thing—free Slurpees for everyone!

The convenience store chain is celebrating its birthday as it does every year, by giving away one free 7.11-ounce Slurpee to each customer who asks anytime between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Redondo Beach has four 7-Eleven stores. They're located at 1535 Aviation Blvd., 226 S. Prospect Ave., 2601 Artesia Blvd. and 2299 190th St.

"7-Eleven Day has become so popular that people mark it as a recurring event on their calendars,” said Stefanie Olson, 7-Eleven category manager for Slurpee and Big Gulp beverages, in a press release on the company's website. 

Media relations for 7-Eleven told Patch most of their 8,000 franchises participate in Slurpee Day, but participation is at the franchisee's discretion.
