Gas Prices Drop for 4th Consecutive Day

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell four-tenths of a cent today to $4.157, one day after dropping by the same amount.

The average price is 2 cents less than one week ago, but 4.2 cents more than one month ago and 20.4 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has decreased for four consecutive days, the longest streak of dropping prices since a 57-day streak of decreases ended July 13.
