Gas Prices Increase About a Cent

The average price of a gallon of regular self-serve gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Wednesday for the 12th consecutive day, increasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.889.

The average price is 6.2 cents higher than one week ago and 75.4 cents above what it was this time last year, but 5.9 cents less than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
