Gas Prices Rise Over Holiday
The average price of a gallon of regular self-serve gasoline in Los Angeles County is now $3.958.
For the 18th consecutive day, the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Monday. The average price is now $3.958 per gallon—the highest since June 14.
The price, which increased sixth-tenths of a cent overnight, is now 14.4 cents higher than last week, almost 15 cents higher than it was last month and about 94 cents higher than it was last year at this time, according to the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It's possible to find gas for lower-than-average prices in the Redondo Beach area, according to GasBuddy.com. Prices are user-reported within the past 48 hours.
