Ice Skating Returns to Redondo Beach for Holiday Season

The last time Redondo Beach had an ice-skating rink at the beach was in 2010.

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- Redondo Beach will once again have ice skating at the beach for the holiday season, thanks to the Los Angeles Kings.

For the past nine years, the Kings have sponsored the L.A. Live skating rink in downtown Los Angeles. This year, the team is extending its sponsorship to four other locations throughout the Southland, including Redondo Beach.

The Redondo Beach ice rink will be located at King Harbor, just north of the pier. The grand opening is slated for Nov. 18 and the rink will open through Jan. 8. It will cost $20 to skate, with part of the proceeds going to the Redondo Beach Police Foundation.
