Suspect in Double Homicide to Appear in Court

Here are some things to look forward to today in Redondo Beach.

Here are five things Redondo Beach residents should know today: 

  1. Jonathan Chacon, who has been charged with murder in connection with the February 2012 slayings of Vicki and Courtney Bergman in North Redondo Beach, will appear in Torrance court for a preliminary hearing today.
  2. Mad Max & the Wild Ones will be performing at a free concert on the Redondo Beach Pier at 7 p.m., courtesy of the Redondo Beach Pier Association's Summer of Music concert series.
  3. Looking for fresh produce and other tasty treats? Check out the Redondo Beach Farmers Market at Veterans Park from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. today.
