KFWB to Spotlight Beach Cities
The radio station will visit Redondo Beach on Wednesday for four live broadcasts.

The Beach Cities will take their turn in the spotlight Wednesday when KFWB News/Talk 980 visits Redondo Beach as part of its "KFWB On Your Corner" series, and Patch is joining in on the fun.
Hermosa Beach Patch editor and Manhattan Beach Patch editor will be interviewed live by Maggie McKay and Michael Shappee during KFWB's afternoon news show, which lasts from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.. The radio station will be broadcasting out of on the , and the restaurant will be offering happy hour specials throughout.
For the early birds, the radio station will kick off the festivities at 5 a.m. at in Riviera Village, where Penny Griego and Phil Hulett will host L.A.'s Morning News. Money 101's Bob McCormick will take over the airwaves at 9 a.m.

Hennessey's plans to open early and offer breakfast specials, according to the radio station.
At noon, KFWB on-air personality and motivational speaker Les Brown will also host a special luncheon for local civic and business leaders at the .

"We'll feed people's minds as well as their stomachs," Brown said in a news release describing the lunch, which is called "You've Gotta Be Hungry!" "My mission is to help leaders improve productivity by changing their mindset and expanding their skillset. I want to help people become uncomfortable with mediocrity."
After the Portofino event, the radio station will head over to Kincaid's for Brown's 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. broadcast and the afternoon news.
