L.A. Councilwoman Janice Hahn Wants to Replace Harman

L.A City Councilwoman Janice Hahn, who is seeking to succeed Jane Harman in the 36th Congressional District, spends Sunday speaking with Patch and locals at the Mar Vista Farmers Market.

L.A. City Councilwoman Janice Hahn is the first person to officially announce as a candidate for the 36th Congressional District seat left vacant by 

Hahn met with residents at Sunday's Mar Vista Farmers Market and also spoke with Patch about her efforts to win the race. Hahn emphasized the importance of the seat remaining in the hands of a Democrat.

She also said that Harman had telephoned her after she decided to relinquish the post and urged her to run. Hahn received endorsements Monday from the Torrance Firefighters Association and U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
