Man Sentenced For Homeless Man's Murder At Redondo Beach Pier
A 29-year-old man was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for the February murder of a homeless man in Redondo Beach.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — An Inglewood man was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for the murder of a homeless man at the Redondo Beach Pier, law enforcement announced Wednesday.
Alexis Martinez, 29, appeared in court on Friday, where he pleaded guilty to shooting and killing a homeless man in the stairwell of the Redondo Beach Pier Parking Structure in February.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner/Coroner's Office identified the victim as 43-year-old Teddy Campos

A Public Works employee assigned at the pier discovered Campos lying unconscious in the early morning of Feb. 16 and notified police at about 6:10 a.m. Paramedics from the Redondo Beach Fire Department responded to the scene and declared Campos dead from a gunshot wound in the head.
