Men Try To Steal Sleeping Woman's Dog: Redondo Beach Crime Blotter
The crime blotter covers incidents in Redondo Beach from Oct 11 to 17.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Redondo Beach Police Department crime blotter.
Robbery
- Oct. 13 - 1600 block of Kingsdale Avenue
- A victim who was selling merchandise in the parking lot of a store was confronted by two suspects and a fight broke out. A passerby witnessed the fight and told the suspects to stop and they fled, according to police.
- Oct. 10 - 2100 block of Mathews Avenue
- Two suspects opened a woman's care door while she was sleeping inside and attempted to steal her dog and her purse, according to RBPD. No loss was reported.
Commercial Burglary
- Oct. 9-14 - 1100 block of North Harbor Drive
- Two radios were reported stolen from a locked room in a commercial building. The locks to the property were cut, RBPD said.
- Oct. 10-11 - 1300 block of South Pacific Coast Highway
- A cash register, a portable play station and cash were stolen from a locked business. According to police, the suspects used a key found in a lockbox to open the door to the business.
Vehicle Burglary
- Oct. 13-14 - Ruby Street and South Catalina Avenue
- A suspect shattered the window of a 2022 Ram TRX and took a golf bag and golf clubs that were inside, according to police.
