Mike Gin to Give Final 'State of the City' Address

Redondo Beach Mayor Mike Gin, who was first elected in 2005, will give his eighth and final state of the city address Thursday.

Mayor Mike Gin and the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Bureau will host the annual State of the City event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in King Harbor at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

The event, which is a dinner this year and also serves as a fundraiser for local organizations and 50th birthday party for Gin, will be the mayor's final state of the city address. He is termed out this year; the runoff election to select his successor is May 14.

The fundraiser—which includes a live auction—will benefit the Cancer Support Community - Redondo Beach and the Veterans Park Memorial.
