Motorcyclist Killed in South Bay Crash ID'd as David Olney

A preliminary investigation revealed the motorcyclist rear-ended one of several stopped vehicles whose drivers were waiting for a pedestrian

LOS ANGELES, CA - The coroner's office has released the name of a 27- year-old motorcyclist killed in a multiple-vehicle crash in the Harbor Gateway area.

David Olney, according to the coroner's office.

The collision that killed 27-year-old Olney happened Thursday about 3:25 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Carson Street, near Halldale Avenue, according to Lt. Charles Springer of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Olney was pronounced dead at the scene, Springer said.
