New Urgent Care Center Opens in Redondo Beach

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- A new urgent care clinic officially opened its door Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The few facility, Exer More Than Urgent Care, promises to be the next generation ER alternative, the company said.

"Today in California, at least one-third of hospital emergency room visits are not true emergencies," Exer’s founder and president Dr. Cherlin Johnson. "At Exer More Than Urgent Care, we staff our clinics with doctors and mid-level providers who are trained in emergency medicine and we carefully design our facilities to be pristine and convenient. As a result, we’re able to treat approximately sixty percent of daily emergency room cases in our clinics with little-to-no waiting and at a fraction of the costs.”

With on-site laboratories, diagnostic equipment, laceration and splinting facilities, Exer says it can treat patients with more services than a standard urgent care clinic.

The clinic can also provide on-the-spot treatments such as IV fluids, IV antibiotics, pediatric services, physical exams, DOT Physical Exams, immunizations, X-rays, prescriptions and corporate care.

The Redondo Beach location is the sixth clinic for Exer, which has clinics in Calabasas, Northridge, Beverly Hills, Newbury Park and Sherman Oaks.
