No Contest Plea in Gay Bar Vandalism

Olivier Saintvictor pleads no contest to vandalizing the Dolphin Bar in North Redondo Beach.

A Rancho Palos Verdes man pleaded no contest to vandalizing the in North Redondo Beach and two Long Beach gay establishments in a plea agreement entered Monday at Torrance Superior Court, the Press-Telegram reported Friday.

Olivier Rodrich Saintvictor, 23, faces up to nine years in prison when he is sentenced Oct. 11, according to the Daily Breeze. The Press-Telegram reported that the judge is expected to sentence him to four years and four months in prison.

Saintvictor will also pay more than $2,600 in restitution for damage he caused at the three establishments.

Saintvictor, who was , was charged with a hate crime and two counts of felony vandalism, which occurred Dec. 17. According to police, he chucked a rock at a Cadillac Escalade parked near the Dolphin Bar and threw another rock at the bar's sign, damaging it.

Later that evening, Saintvictor drove to Long Beach and apparently threw a potted plant at the plate glass window of The Center Long Beach, shattering the window, police said. Officers believe that shortly afterward, he threw a rock through a window at Club Ripples.
