Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Hit by Bus in Redondo Beach
The woman was transported to a local trauma center. Southbound Hawthorne Boulevard was closed at 182nd Street for the investigation.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — A woman was critically injured when she was hit by a bus Monday afternoon in Redondo Beach, police said.
The woman was crossing the street on Hawthorne Boulevard at around 4 p.m. when she was hit, Redondo Beach Police Lt. Joe Hoffman said. She was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries, he said.
It was unclear as of 5 p.m. if the woman was in a marked crosswalk when she was hit.

The Gardenia Transit Bus, Line 3, was traveling southbound in the No. 4 lane when the accident occurred, Hoffman said.
Southbound Hawthorne Boulevard at 182nd Street was closed pending an investigation into the crash. Residents were urged to avoid the area.
