Dozens of friends, family and neighbors gathered in Manhattan Beach on Saturday afternoon to remember 7-year-old Jeremy Perez, who died Aug. 5 after a delivery truck backed into him in the parking lot of the neighborhood .

Jeremy was bicycling to visit his mother, Trina Goodwin, who had just started working at the grocery store, when the accident occurred.
