Police Close PCH After Motorcycle Collision
The Redondo Beach Police Department temporarily shuts down Pacific Coast Highway at Irena Avenue after a car and a motorcycle collide

A collision between a car and a motorcycle shut down Pacific Coast Highway at Irena Avenue on Monday morning. (UPDATE: Redondo Beach Police reopened PCH at 11:30.)
According to Redondo Beach police Sgt. Charles Prestia, the car was making a left turn when it collided with a motorcycle at about 10:30 a.m.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital, though the extent of his or her injuries is unknown at this time, Prestia said.
Traffic investigators will review the incident to determine whether charges will be filed.
