Police Department to Host Safety Fair

The will host its 12th annual Community Safety Fair and Police Department Open House on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The event, which has drawn thousands of visitors over the years, will feature police station tours; demonstrations by the K-9, motorcycle and SWAT units; free gun locks and child ID kits; and safety exhibits, according to a news release from the police department.

The safety fair also serves as a "kickoff" event for Fire Prevention Week and Crime Prevention Month.

The Redondo Beach Police Department and Civic Center are located at the corner of North Pacific Coast Highway and Diamond Street.
