Two Bodies Found In Redondo Beach Home
Officers were conducting a welfare check and found two people dead inside a home in Redondo Beach.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — Two bodies were found in a Redondo Beach home, prompting Redondo Beach police to investigate.
The bodies were discovered about 11:20 a.m. Wednesday when officers went to the 2100 block of Gates Avenue to check on the welfare of a resident, said Redondo Beach police Lt. Fabian Saucedo.
"Based on the circumstances, officers made entry into the residence and discovered two individuals deceased," Saucedo said. "The two deceased individuals have not yet been identified.

"The exact nature and cause of the death, will be investigated by the Los Angeles County Coroner's department," Saucedo said. "Events leading up to the death of the deceased individuals (are) under investigation by the Redondo Beach Police Department."
According to the coroner's office, one of the bodies was that of a woman in her 30s, and the other was an unidentified male. There was no word on how the pair died.

Redondo Beach police Lt. Shawn Freeman told The Daily Breeze the deaths were being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.
