Police Search For Attempted Burglary Suspect In Redondo Beach
Residents reported seeing a police helicopter circling the neighborhood searching for the suspect.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — Residents in Redondo Beach got a scare Tuesday night when a police helicopter circled the neighborhood searching for a thwarted burglar on the loose. Ultimately, the suspect escaped.
The break-in occurred in the 1900 block of Voorhees Avenue in Redondo Beach around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The Redondo Beach Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from the homeowner, and when officers responded they set up a containment within several blocks. However, the suspect fled before the homeowner called authorities, an RBPD representative told Patch.
