UPDATE: Police Find Missing 9-Year-Old Girl In Manhattan Beach
Police in nearby Manhattan Beach were searching for a missing 9-year-old girl, officials reported Tuesday night.
MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — This story was updated at 7:38 p.m.
Manhattan Beach police were searching for a missing 9-year-old girl and announced they found her Thursday night, shortly after 7:20 p.m.
Police were asking the public's help to find the child, who was last seen in the area of 6th Street and Veterans Parkway, also known as The Green Belt. The Green Belt is located between Ardmore Avenue and Valley Drive and used to house railroad tracks. It's just northwest of Hermosa and Redondo beaches. An alert was sent about 6:35 p.m. asking the public's help.

The young girl was wearing black pants and a black jacket with blue patches. She is 4 feet 5 inches with long dark hair.
People were urged to call 911 if they saw someone matching this description.
