Prevent Identity Theft on 'Shred Day'
South Bay Credit Union is hosting a community shred day where consumers can destroy sensitive paperwork.

Redondo Beach residents can protect themselves from identity theft during South Bay Credit Union's on Saturday.
With help from The Shredders, a company that specializes in shredding documents to confetti-sized bits, consumers can visit the Redondo Beach at 2304 Artesia Blvd. from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. to destroy their paperwork for free.
People can bring as many documents and media as they'd like, and it's OK if there are staples, paperclips and folders, according to notice on the credit union's website.
